Your bittersweet laugh

Taunting in allure

You say I should know

But my heart you did skewer

Why do you do this?

Your fickle mind….

And then you tell me

How I’m “too kind”?!

It’s just so hard

To let you go

Not really understanding

What it is I know…

I’ve always had you

But never were you mine

Those few precious moments

Lost away with our time…..
