Another day gone by
Staring at the sky
No matter how hard I try
Cannot discover why

She was the only one
Impervious to see
Who she truly was
So her soul set free

If I only knew
What her heart held true
Anything I'd do
But I overlooked her cue

Stuck in my own world
I did not see the signs
Fighting my own demons
Couldn't read between the lines

I didn't realize
What she had in store
As she kissed me on my forehead
Said goodbye and closed the door

My eyes quickly closed
Entering a sleep so deep
Not knowing as I dozed
The grim had come to reap

Early was the call
No longer could forestall
This hardship to bestall
Visions that appall
Uncontrollably I ball
Fists covered in drywall
Unable to stand tall
To my knees I fall
Without the strength to crawl
Too late for a recall
Don't understand at all
Why this curtain call
Why did I not install
Her ability to brawl 
She spun the roulette ball
Now rests in heaven's hall

Though she is at peace
I remain in pieces
Wondering what I could of done
Pain constantly increases

As my strength decreases
I pray that God polices
When she stands before his gates
Heaven's lock releases
