The Room No One Sees

The Room No One Sees

A Poem by Neha agrawal
"

It is about a person having everything possible but still feels lonely and void deep inside

"
They call him lucky and complete,
With polished shoes and perfect place.
A house that shine and a life well maintained,
A story others long to say.

He dines beneath a chandelier,
But eats with no words, none too hear.
His phone keeps ringing through the night,
But no one cares if he’s alright.

The walls are filled with finest art pieces,
But none can fill his empty heart.
He laughs on sign and he plays the part,
While something quiet pulls apart.

For what is the use of gold if touch is rare?
What use is the of glory if no one cares?
He’s built an empire and the name,
But walks through emptiness just the same.

He wanted more than good luck,
For the honest words and someone near.
He can trade the pride and grand applause
For just one soul who can see his flaws.

Behind the glass of all he’s done,
He stays for happiness that never comes.
Though his life is grand and grand,
It absence a caring and no judging hands.

So next time if someone brights too bright,
Always remember, light can hide the night.
Some hearts may beat in grand halls,
Yet echo loud through the empty walls.

This poem effectively explores the paradox of public success and private emptiness through carefully constructed contrasts. The mixing of material luxury ("chandelier," "finest art") with emotional poverty ("hollow heart," "empty walls") creates a compelling tension. The consistent AABB rhyme scheme maintains accessibility while the metaphorical language elevates the theme beyond cliché.
