A Lover and IA Poem by NephlimAn empty poem about an empty woman. ^-^A Lover and IJust a lover and I,
Our only cloak Mists of smoke, The questionable kind That gets us through a night. Our eyes rival glass, reflecting flickering light, passing from a steady stream of cars and twisting sirens, filtered through thin blinds. The bed shifts and my side is cold. The comfort goes and he is clothed with business attire and gold. My pockets are full lined with shame and grime, as I didn’t know his name. He didn’t hold my heart, though he touched my breasts. Yet there we laid, together… apart. As one, but not the same. And here it is I wait, for just another lover. And I… Nameless, Faceless, just another fleeting lover.
