Broken yet Beautiful

Dreams now lost, broken promises shattered into a thousand pieces
The flames burn across the velvet sky
Faces so fake, emotions unreal
Crowded in a sea of false accusations
Lost in the masquerades, in the empty facades
Hope but a distant memory
Pain relinquishes as loneliness seeps through
Everything burns as the lies and hate consume
Anger reigns, passion lies in the fury
Seeking, longing, crying out for more
Obsession fades as the last ember diminishes
Blank diaries, empty pages, feelings gone astray
The unknown beckons, darkness-temptation’s glory
Pretentiousness no more
Silence envelops; a sweet blanket
Surrendering into its warmth and comfort
The book is closed. Another chapter to be written when daylight approaches
