my angel

i wrote this for my sister, Shauntee

I have an angel.  I don't know if she knows it.  

She has held me and kept me from danger and pain.  

No one can see how she helps me.

Even when she is not around I know she is always there.  

In the back of my mind she stands there and watches over me.  

I know she will always be there for me.  

That is a promise that I can hold tight.  
I love her so much because I have felt her touch.  

It wasn't much, but it was enough to change my life.

It brought me back to God, back to the love I left so long ago.
My angel showed me the way out of the dark.  

She filled my life with joy.  She is My Angel, my sister.

You know that God is happy when we acknowledge the angels he put here on earth to be there when they have to, it shows that we see his undeniable and ever merciful love in the things that mean the most to us.
