Eternal Rest

this is one of the many random poems that i write. i just put my pen down and this came out.

As we stood on the mountain side, you said you loved me.  

You asked if we could be together forever then gave me a ring.  

I told you "always and forever"  

We kissed, do you remember that kiss?  

I wish you would have told me sooner.  

We could have been together longer.

I just wish you wouldn't have gone to your eternal rest so soon.  

I still wear my ring and I still love you and think of you always.  

Never forget me, because I know I will remember you "always and forever"
