Funeral

losing someone close to you sucks.

I stand here staring at your face
as you lay there stiff and smiling.
Your souls is no longer there,
your body lays before me
for all to see.
A long walk to get here,
one I never hoped to take.
Darkness all around
people crying.
Some dying,
inside for the loss of your life.
Mourners everywhere
it's like a nightmare,
one you can't get out of.
There is no greater pain
than the loss of love.
