Just Imagine If...

Just Imagine If...

A Poem by Neville

Just Imagine If...

Hey just imagine

With all that energy

We might once have spent

We could have lit a light-bulb

And then repent

But no

You allowed your guilt

To drive a wedge between us

And now it’s time you learnt

You can not change

Who you are

Or where the hell you’ve been

Nor for that matter

What you may or might not have done

But then just between ourselves

I sincerely mean

You can feel differently

About some of them

Inbetween

It is the curse of the English reserve i think , that makes us hesitate rather than grab at each chance. It is easy to shoulder guilt over trespasses real or imagined. Sometimes we just need to be a little selfish and put our needs first. This was a very creative write :)
