And they call it puppy love. Song again, Neville. None other than Donny Osmond. That's the first thing that entered my mind as I read your title. Then reading your lines, all I could see was an old dog slobbering away at your face, while you screwed up your eyes and nose :) Is that a fact that dogs lick your face to taste the salt on your skin? And as for your author's note, of course the sea is meant to be exactly where it is. As is the c in Chris. It has to be at the beginning. Good ridiculously early morning Neville. Up again at 4.30am

Kitty love is exactly like the puppy love you described, Neville. Our prince grabs and holds my arm and gives it a good licking. They do tell us how much they appreciate ( the salt) us don't they? What a heart warming writing my friend. Loved it.

You are too young to remember, Christine, I guess. Listen to this one :

The original song--by Mr. Paul Anka--back in 1960. Donny Osmond must have been, what, 1970-something.
When I was a kid, I remember my cat(Arthur) licking my face, and my dad said the same thing. He licked my face often, with his sandpapery little tongue, but he did, I must admit, seem to do it with greater alacrity that time.

this is so cute.
I have a dog and every time I think he's kissing me my son tells me that's it's just that he likes me salty face
I guess I taste good
your comment about the c and the sky and shore have me wondering at a deeper meaning though.
puppy love, young love - it's a sweet thing for sure whether between people or animals
