Trust is a Five Letter Word

Trust is a Five Letter Word

A Poem by Neville
"

two for the price of one ... take my word, you can count on it...

"

Trust is a Five Letter Word

I

Thought

I might be

More subtle yet

To keep our secrets

In a colour coded alphabet

Whatever it might be my love

We have certainly not found it yet

I

Thought

It might well be

Intriguingly more subtle

To keep those sweet secrets

Of ours in a covert coded alphabet

Whatever the case might be my love

We have certainly not found that lost key yet

Oh no you can't. We are in pantomime season Neville and the shape of your poem is very much like a Christmas tree. Well two Christmas trees to be precise. Two for the price of one as you have said. Trust is indeed a five letter word. Your lines are full of intrigue. Secretive, coded messages and lost keys. Your readers need to be sleuths to decipher. There is also a nice play on words in the second tree :) This is undoubtedly a Neville thing.
