The Shoe Lace RaceA Poem by NevilleNot a true storyThe Shoe
Lace Race The shoe
lace race was Just about
to start and Get this
folks People
came from miles Around By car and
horse n cart The rules
were not too Complicated
The
perfect lace was Understated
but no Buckles
and no Velcro Were
allowed And certainly
no Double
knots Just two rows
of tiny bows With nice neat
ends and That’s yer
lot So as the
race began The judges
were all eying The most
incredible of tying But in the
end there was A winner Who was
only a beginner The
celebrations tho Could not get
started Coz last
years champ Swiftly
departed Presumably
coz he lost face No sooner
had he gone tho The judges
carried on tho Presenting
the most prized Of prizes Yes folks the
golden shoe lace cup To the
winner and a Silver one
for the runner up © 2019 NevilleFeatured Review
