dang dear Neville! how did You write THIS? this is hauntingly beautiful, with a gentle wistful longing tune, and oh... such enchantingly profound statements, and dear Neville, what Your poetry means without You mused love ;) I certainly need to be mused now!
Spoken like a true poet my friend. You will always be admired and applauded for being faithful to your poetry. This Perfect declaration of a pledge flows ever so gracefully from your heart.
i would do the same....lingering on that empty page...throughout my many years...the one woman who has been totally faithful to me...never walked out...it's the muse...she might disappear from time to time to gather her thoughts, get her head straight...but she returns when others don't---

beautiful Neville ... the intro...the build ...and the energy of the closing ... well done says i! well done indeed ... the strength in poetry is the poets' desire to present things honestly .. its at the core of it in my opinion .. everything else is ornamental (not in a negative way) ... comparing my own relationship with poetry and my "love" ... i think what you say is a hard truth ... no matter the commitment to another .. we can be and are easily led astray of faithfulness .. even if it never gets beyond the "thought" ... but to poetry ... a completely different matter .. if it weren't we wouldn't be in it would we?! this is one for everyone's pocket full of wisdom book ..love it!
