The moon is for romantics and green candles according to my research are normally burnt on Fridays, although I am sure there are other meanings for green candles. What I am pickingup from your lines Neville is that situations can change rapidly. If you have everything one minute and you feel it's gone the next. I say make the most of the good times. Brevity yet again, with endless interpretations. When the moon goes to bed and then the sun rises tells me that the author has a positive outlook on life. As soon as one door closes another will open. There is much confidence here. Nicely expressed. Deep as well.

When I was younger, I had the bad habit of spoiling perfect moments with agitated nonsense. Your poem reminds me to be okay with whatever happens & be glad the moon always comes around & gives me another chance to quiet myself & just enjoy (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Nev,
There's a dreamy quality in this piece. I see you are a fan of Cohen. His early work sounded a bit like this . . . "Spicebox of the Earth." What I sense . . . live the moment . . . it is what it is . . . nothing will change that. interesting idea put here, sir.

yes, but the moon casts a dim light...and often we can hide our frowns just enough.
and yet we can often write them away, because there is just enough light to see the keys...

You are educating me with Your phrases dear Neville (Splitting Hairs)... paying attention to many details and give them more than what they deserve will certainly ruin the mood, especially the romantic mood here :)
