Most advice given states that we should live in the present rather than the past or the future. The present though lasts for seconds before it becomes the past. I have read the other comments left on your page and find them interesting. Old people tend to live in the past more, young people look to the future, so who resides in the present, I wonder. Who is definitely living in the present? Your loss of sight poem is frightening. It appears to have gone and that is a mercy. That is how I understood you and I imagine it was tense.

In the dense of the stillness, the quiet of what’s happening and happened right there and then here and now - only the heartbeat or the breathe would could be heard- trying to understand what’s happened to another or just exiting this life- nothing else to be done than be there or here and experience what’s happening- nothing to be said only felt or even-...nothing....just be....🌹

my favourite.. can I bring my own bowl.. pretty please :)
in the depths of these lines, You speak to me and with me, at first I felt like it was the "awaking" moment when You become aware in Your unconsciousness, then how surprisingly amazingly Your verses turned, specially the last two ones, they hit, for me You spoke of numbness at the highest level, "no pain, no poetry" it might be even one of the highest level of being, it's like You are split from this world and You are living in another one, and even if Your last verse speaks of death and passing away, this is a true gem, I highly applaud You dear Neville.

A new and keen way of looking at "past tense". More of that than the present . . . that's for dang sure!!
! would say there is no poetry in the present tense . . . just a thought5.

Think about how long the present tense lasts and then get my drift.
