Do you remember

Way back in the day

There we all were

Just swanning around

In those café bars with

Nothing to do and

Nowt much to say but

Not a care in the world

Taking bets on that

French cigarette smoke

Just hanging around

Kind of a silvery grey

Loitering like lads

On street corners

While them hungry girls

Were doing ketamine

And slimming pills

With both feet tapping

Listening to the juke box

Playing Mott the Hoople

Feeling all of thirty-five

When we were seventeen

Barely out of this dizzy kind of phase the last few years. I do still love to let my hair down with old friends once in a while specially weekends. This is such a lovely poem on the magic teenage days. The best time I had.

Please steer clear of ketamine my friend, it is very dangerous if abused... my job brought me into contact with several victims who thought its use might be fun... They were all wrong and a couple of em no longer here.... Sweating it out in the gym is much more sensible x

Yes.... Sigh, and scarily, i will be 35 and 17 this July. And as the phrase "you're only as young as the one you fell" comes to mind, i realise i wouldnt mind feeling either, but not both.

Yes, I remember those days and the cafe bars where the young dudes and the dolls would hang out. There weren't that many places to go then were there? Loved the juke box and playing the same record over and over again while sipping on a coffee and getting lost in the fog of cigarette smoke. Couldn't have been as observant as you though. Never noticed those hungry girls stuffing their faces with ketamine and slimming pills. Ketamine? Isn't that horse tranquiliser? Managed to get through my impressionable years without experimenting with pills. You took me back there. My cup's empty, get me a refill please Neville.

They were there Chris.. just you mark my words.. ketamine is used in medicine and by veterinary surgeons as .. it is also widely abused and street named 'special k'..
Popping in here is certainly safer than popping pills.. although I am conscious of the fact there has been some unpleasantness hanging around recently... is it still string and black, cheers..
