Hi, Neville. Your poem and profile picture are a perfect match. What a picture that is.
I love the simplicity of this. The bird as song and peace and freedom. Like the dove that was sent from the ark, the bird brings news of a future that maybe seems hard to fathom at the moment. The present stands in the way of the larger vision but then the present is always giving way to the future.
Thanks for this little reminder of the beauty and presence of simplicity. I hear many a bird singing outside my window just now and the joy rings and rings. I will follow it.
Hope you and your family are well there. All the best to you.

Here in Michigan. Winter is still holding on and the birds stays in Georgia. They are wise. I like to listen to nature. My house, no grandchildren to watch, all school closed. I learn to dislike the silence. But time to write and create. We can write the great novel now. Thank you Neville for sharing the entertaining poetry.

This little piece of brevity is wonderfully uplifting. Nothing like birdsong to greet you at dawn. Even more appreciated in these troubled times Neville. Hope you are yours are all keeping safe and well.

ahahaha i absolutely love this ... light hearted, fun and joyful read! thanks for sharing Nev! just a couple mornings ago while on me dog walk, I heard a bird signing away .. i spotted it up and the top of a dying tree .. it caught my attention because its song was so varied and he was just singing his little heart out. I am not a bird watcher by any standard but I thought surely this must be a Mocking Bird .. I swear it went through about 20 different calls .. such a delight ... of course i Googled it and sure enough that is what it was ... and now reading your poem ... i relive that experience :)

A pretty flower sang a song of love ...
sequestered among the thorns of lonliness... dreaming of the day to be held and gathered in a bouquet of tender loving friends. gently, Pat

I think this pandemic is teaching us one thing...and that is to appreciate the little things that in the past we have ignored.
There is beauty in the simplest.
nice reminder here.
