Isn't it always the case, that it's either dead air or like listening to 23 tv channels at once, leaving us so bamboozled by the sudden buzzing, that we get so discombobulated to master picking up a pen, or saving that blinky sheet of the world that is microsoft.
My trouble is preferring to get a coffee before I jot things down, which often leads to more distractions and before I know it, what the hell was I thinking about just then?
Come to think about it, what was I thinking would be the title of my biography.
Now, I'll just hit send before making another coffee.
(See, I'm learning?) 😀

i can certainly relate to this poem neville.
although i wouldn't say my words were angry, mine just buzz around too fast in my head for me to lasso & manage to hold them 'till i pen them down. a very realistic poem.

I actually like the idea of words like angry bees but I can't allow my crew to mutiny on me like that. I must command my words and they must do my bidding. There's only room for one captain at this helm. If they get out of control a few adverbs and adjectives might end up walking the plank or get keel-hauled from the penman ship. If there be sea monsters we must face them together, my crew and I. But mysteries, miracles and unrequited love aren't so bad. Sounds like one of seven voyages of Sinbad. Maybe I could get one of those belly-dancing Arabian princesses to play the lead. Now I shall cease to propound my pirate metaphor and just say I liked your poem. Cheers. F.

i think often our words don't make sense as we write them and maybe not even after we are done writing them...but as time passes we may go back and look at them once more, and hear that slight buzz arising.

maybe the return of the angry bees : cheers Jacob )
All those thoughts your muse sent flooding into your brain, making it work on overtime and then you didn:t make a note of them while you could. Recipe for disaster says I who has lost so many poems this way. I have written poems in my head in the middle of the night and come morning they have gone. I can't even remember a first line. You may have lost those random thoughts in the blink of an eye, but you did manage to produce a good poem here Neville and one that many writers will relate to.

I have to keep paper and pen on my bedside table.
