Delicious 

No not like that

That would be an

Understatement

And far too easy

To describe

Even if spread thick

On Ma’s homemade

Scones or bread

Cut like bloomin

Door-step delicious

No nor like

Grandma’s gravy

Used to be

Yet far more tasty

Than any

Sunday roast

And then of course

There were

The undertones

That came with such

Exquisite aftertastes

Without doubt

More satisfying than

A Full English

Followed by

One of those

French cigarettes

And making love

Again but slower

Yeah

That’s the kind of

Delicious I mean

Much like I imagine

Ocean honey

Or even sky milk

Might taste

If of course they

Had a taste at all

But then

Work rang and

My whale sound

Ring tone

Roused me

From the taste of her

Now gone

Yes gone but not

Forgotten

Like I had somehow

So very easily

Forgotten

Caught up in a fantasy of your own wonderful imagination by the sounds of it, and then damn, interrupted by a phone call. Doesn't it always happen that way? Somehow I get the feeling that this actually happened, this very tasty episode. Maybe a memory with someone special from a long time ago. The sort of memory we all like to resurrect and smile at from time to time. Clotted cream, strawberry jam and scones, now that is right up my street, plus a cuppa as well Neville. No good for the waistline though.

To be not lost but journeying in such thoughts is one of the many reasons we love. The taste keeps us coming back for more. All the tasty and sinful treats you mention take us on a road trip, like one of those travel channel shows, where the host visits different restaurants and samples the local favorites. The cigarette, making love, sky and ocean references show the vast scope of how love touches us, even when its out of touch. This makes me want to sip one of my best bourbons, the single barrel one that coats my tongue like velvet and lasts all night.

Neville, I have a few. I must say I like the moderately priced ones, Woodford Reserve and Willett Pot Still Reserve. I must admit I'm a bourbon snob. I'll only drink it if distilled in Kentucky. :)
