might just as well

have been leaves …

few steps between trees …

One sovereign to a poor man would be considered great wealth. There was more than one sovereign here. Gold is gold regardless and should be valued for its worth. I think you had treasure here. Beautiful moments I would say. Wonderful imagery here in this lovely poem.

A phase fleeting yet golden...In retrospect, totally worth it, despite the briefness. The memories of that short trek between trees still perfectly glowing though a bit wistfully. But I'd say totally worth it sir! Golden always is!
