Sheen

Sheen

A Poem by Neville

Sheen

Somewhere behind these eyes

the seed of a soul does barely hide ..

A kaleidoscope within a rainbow

prismed ..

Like petrol on still water, glistens ..

The sheen

upon a starling’s back imprisoned ..

A stolen kiss,

a glimpse, an elliptical eclipse ..

A fleeting iridescent glint, and presence

no longer felt, yet still smiling, albeit blindly ..

Within those eyes (once we see it we can never unsee) the beyond a glint that captures the person, their essence, and a universe, once we take the time to look, feel and know, that some things are just beyond simple beauty and is as multi faceted as a diamond and as multi layered as an onion. Just don't dissect to find out kids! 😊
Such a lovely write and feel to start the weekend Nev. A+. Now go to the top of the class and take a bright and shiny gold star too! 🌟⭐🥇😎

thank you kindly
Immaculate choice of words, and few lines are simply stunning. I'm fascinated by the awesome analogy used in between the lines.
Beautiful piece of art, obviously.

Best,

Oh those vivid memories that captivate and keep the mind coming back for a visit with ver and over on repeat.

Love the imagery of the prism of oil on water and the sheen on the starlings back. Well done in creative thought showing the emotions in an array of colors
