Not all his loves had golden hair ..

some were dark and some were fair ..

 

A few had silver, here and there ..

While one was decidedly flamingo pink

 

Whereas a further two .. The twins of course

wore distinctly different shades of blue

I have a longtime Latino friend (our age) who dyes her hair purple in streaks to the extreme and posts her face proudly, very up close, with her overdone makeup done perfectly, etc. I marvel at her spirit. She looks so damn satisfied with herself, while the rest of us cower in self-consciousness over our dwindling physicality as we age. And of course, with mom being a hairdresser for 50+ years, I definitely relate to your message! *smile*

Ah, this takes me back to my (heady) youth, when it was not uncommon for me to change my hair colour when my pay packet arrived. The green and black was rather fetching, but as you know up here, everything is green and blue and the latter did not go down well with my fellow Celtic fans. I still have the scar from where the coke can bounced off my head.
I was always drawn to those exotic heads of wild n crazy colours, which usually turned out to match their temperament too 😊

When I was younger, the wild hair colors were a sign of something amiss with the individual who dyed their hair. Now it so commonplace you rarely have a second look. I like the fact that society has a bit easier time with acceptance, albeit a long way to go. It's like the Crash Test Dummies song God shuffled his Feet and the kid with the blue hair. Ok this may be a bit much to say about hair dyes, but there you have it...lol
