no formal mast required

but rooftops, doors and windows

shall suffice

and though

both mountains and monuments

may not yet be high enough ..

in a world

on its knees, bruised, bleeding

and bowed ..

through smoke, dust and tears,

in the foreground

and upon the downcast eyes

of massed crowds ..

a distinctly blue and gold flag

lifted skywards ..

tho shaken, is still waving and proud ..

its more than just a blue & gold flag isn't It ..

I know how close these words are to you and what that flag means to you as well as to many other people.

Yesterday's retaliation a harsh reminder. The Ukrainians are fighting for all of us and we should not forget that. Sad poem, may have been written in week four of a madman's folly, but here we are eight months later with no sign of change. This will go on for a long time and that is devastating.

Homes in this country still urgently needed, but,. bureaucracy being with one single clock..

I am not sure why no one reviewed this. most importantly it stays away from policy (which I always do and that's why I respect it even more). some deeply touching lines my friend. You know on another side I don't comment to the recent events because deep down I know... what happens to the people there is exactly what happened to us here, and NO ONE knows the truth but them. I feel them because we've been there. I only pray and hope that it won't last long as it was for us, and this actually what I think will happen.
