in these cold snaps we experience now & then & with Christmas fast approaching, I fear its only too easy to forget how the other half lives ..

Ukraine in Winter

 

While our children die starving and cold

in these holes

they randomly punch in the snow ..

 

Despite most of the free world praying

out loud, I can still see

a blue and gold flag waving and proud ..

Yes, there is much talk about the cost of living crisis and concerns about how we will keep warm in winter, but it all pales into insignificance when you compare our situation to the real hardship and suffering of the Ukranian people. I also see that blue and gold flag flying high and proudly Neville. A poem of compassion and understanding for those in real trouble.
