Powerful words, Neville! I absolutely adored this piece of writing. The sense of imagery and the touches of melancholy are deep. I loved this, Neville! Thanks for sharing.

He wants to go but she won't let him. The olive branch is a symbol of peace, and maybe that's what he really wants. It is possible to have it without dying.

Good mane, my time Kelly .. Thank you for blessing this page with your presence .. Of course I don't mind explaining in public where the inspiration & significance of the olive branch sprung from in respect of my latest little scribble .. The historical significance can be traced back to ancient Greece & its associated mythology ..
Nowadays, the olive branch as a symbol of peace and is widely used to bring together many different people, beliefs and values. In fat, so popular is the symbol that it has entered the English lexicon, with the phrase 'to extend or offer an olive branch used to indicate peaceful efforts to resolve conflict ..
And without wishing to spoil it for anyone who might dare venture here in your wake .. I shall reveal more in a moment or two ..
