I think those flames burn intensely forever. As time passes memory creates distance which makes the flame appear to be waning, but it still burns like a furnace. And we humans like the warmth of it so we keep seeking it. Words are meant to be spoken, not snuffed out. Good poem Neville.

Hot and furnace bright is certainly something to remember when and if the flames cool. I think we have all felt the heat of love’s desire. Not something easily forgotten. This is a very loving poem for someone who means/meant the world to you. I felt the heat jumping out from the page. A lovely poem Neville you have penned here.
