Let’s Talk About the Weather for Once

 

Yes, the weather is being kind to us ..

But then,

there is talk of snow too my love ..

And yes, of course

I spoke to the moon and to the stars

again last night ..

As indeed, I always do

and for a moment, the sky was filled

with my words only ..

Which then, formed a single prayer ..

Now though,  

I sit here, sipping strong black coffee

and smiling vaguely

in what feels to me, like your direction ..

The night sky is certainly worth pondering on. Provides inspiration for both poetry and can help with problem solving too. Too many people speak about the weather instead of going deeper which can be required when it comes to solving relationship issues. Your title says the opposite. Sounds like your prayer may have been listened to as you are smiling in the direction of the love you were discussing snow with in these lines. Have a fine Monday Neville.
