Were all boat-builders, cooks, nurses

or medics, so what did your daddy do ..

I have done my geneology and got all the way back to the 800's when of course it means nothing. I found my ancestor on my paternal side was the first Duke of Normandy, Rollo and his father was the first Jarl of Orkney. Means nothing but still fascinating.

Family research is an interest of mine, so I imagine you must regard this find as a real gem. (I know I would) If all was known about our ancestors, we'd surely find many saints and sinners. It's a bit funny what you said about poor John and family gatherings.

Despite poor health, I'm still here, Neville, but no longer writing. Something inside of me broke, or maybe just stopped working. So now, after a thirty year break, I'm trying to return to oil painting. Your wife would be treated as royalty in Texas, but I guess you must know that! How's her knife skills? Uh, in the kitchen, I mean.
My only claims to fame are a revolutionary war patriot and a great uncle who claimed to have been in the Dalton gang.

What did my Daddy (Papa) do?
Well, he was a director, producer and writer for motion pictures. Died at the age of 96.
