Echoes Seldom Lie These DaysA Poem by NevilleEchoes Seldom Lie These Days Hey,
whoever would have guessed .. When I
first slipped off your dress
.. That we
would still be here
together, even after
all these years .. And whoever
might have thought we would
have, as much as we have left to play
with, at the sharp end of a very
long day .. They all
told us not to bother and to
mostly disbelieve
each other, since quite
simply there could not
be a middle way .. So the
moral of this story is, don’t believe in anything
at all, since there are so few,
universal
truths, these days .. Although,
there may be one or two
exceptions for
example, echoes seldom lie and robins
eggs are almost
always, some shade of blue .. © 2023 NevilleFeatured Review
