This poem reminded me of a man long ago, who said to me ‘ask me anything, anything at all’. That openness had the opposite effect. I could ask nothing. I clammed up. There were many unanswered questions in my mind. Perhaps I was afraid of what the answers might be. How strange, your poem should trigger that memory Neville.
A poem here that asks many questions.

Most of us have accepted "better safe than sorry" on many things that we are afraid to lose, so that's it. We do not dare to ask, or even answer!
I enjoyed the imagination, making love under the sun......
Thank you Neville

Only Adam and Eve could make love "above" the sun I guess lol
From the sound of this it was probably Clapton playing Lay Down Sally. ;) This was pretty cool. And ah, those summer days that last into summer nights.

As for apologies, bosh, we need an open chat forum in my opinion. I shall endeavor to endear myself by servitude. I'll come round a leave a review. (laughing) Yes, all, Layla was a great tune...I like the Unplugged Remake almost better than the Derek and Dominoes cut. It's a tough call. Bless you, kind people. F.
Its hurtful when a lack of interest is felt, especially in romantic relationships. We want to be known, understood and appreciated by the other and that can only be through interest generated from within. The poem is sensuous and had a hurting tone, as if the significant other was oblivious or disinterested. Perhaps faraway and not really with them in intimate moments. I appreciated and enjoyed the poem so much, dear Neville.
