They Were Nothing But Fools

 

At the time, they seemed to

be stuck in

 some kind of intricate web ..

With the

pair of them weaving through

blank

open pages, with nothing but

an old

darning needle

and length of invisible thread ..

But there

were those, who quite rightly

thought,

they were nothing, but fools ..

I liked the imagery of the darning needle being used on the blank pages. It gave me a sense of something being created out of nothing. The invisible thread is suggestive of cohesiveness, things yet unseen being tied together. Speaks to me of faith and also a sense of adventure and risk taking. Most people would consider it stupidity though, until and unless they are proven wrong..

Never wonder too much about what others are doing, because we can only hear our commentary of them, not theirs of us.
Maybe it's a yet undiscovered way of amending or updating a write I have yet to find, or maybe we could just enquire and maybe be told is none of our bloody business. Maybe we are just happier guessing and then that becomes our fact, but can you think how boring this thing called life would be if we were all identical? We may as well be computers or AI and I don't think that's meant to happen until next summer, where we will all be slaves of what we built and Alexa will become our tyrant goddess!!!
And would we blame them for wanting the control that we have failed so miserably at, with war, famine, pestilence and the list goes on....
I bet butterfly's don't plan wars and taking over the world! Just us silly, pesky humans 😊

And those who gaze and say under their breath, "What fools" are themselves the fools and the only people they are fooling is themselves. Maybe if those found someone to share life with, they would have time to judge another. (Or maybe they would, some people are just like that).

Darning needles are used for repairs but the essential is thread which isn’t invisible. Otherwise the job won’t get done. Spider webs have a habit of entangling. Can be difficult to escape once caught. All of us can be fools where love is concerned but those who look on wagging a finger might be considered even more foolish, in my humble opinion. Where love is concerned it has to run the course or end when the fabric is frayed beyond repair. So maybe it all boils down to how good you are with a needle and thread.

Very nice write Neville on a day where the grey sky is mended and predominantly blue.
