A Slice of Sky

A Slice of Sky

A Poem by Neville

A Slice of Sky

Pastel

amethyst yellow

skies ..

Filled to overflow

with the

silhouettes

of gold eyed birds

in flight ..

I must make notes ..

For surely,

winter is only just

around,

the very next corner ..

Visually stunning. I saw a photograph of migrating birds yesterday which captured the colours and essence of this poem perfectly.

Don’t wish for winter too soon. Autumn comes first.

The beauty of your words is the mental picture they so easily created in my mind's eye. A joy N. even if the plague of ice and slush is the ode's final proffering.

isn't winter around every corner .. cheers Ken :)
Amethyst yellow ... can see it , that purple hazy mist drifting into yellow .
Birds migrating ... but not yet please Neville .
Late summer has yet to show its face .

Painting a beautiful picture of pastel skies, blending amethyst and yellow hues. The sky is filled with the silhouettes of gold-eyed birds in flight, creating a serene scene. Truly in love with this verses ❤️
