I imagined starlings here in all their glory making patterns in the sky. It is always a source of wonderment and fascination. A feeling of freedom and joyfulness, given to the observer. How do they do that? I was drawn to the title and the blue sky imagery of the phenomenon that is a murmuration, yet this poem has far more depth to it, with an air of mystery and intrigue. The imagery is awe inspiring. A beautiful piece of poetry.
When watching this majestic site Nev, I often wonder which is the choreographer and if they have their own TV show, with interviews of Dave the starling, telling the audience at home that he's only doing it because his nan died and she was his biggest fan.
I bet the Simon Cowell starling is still a twat though 😊
Nicely captured my good man.

Ah yes, our winged friends. Always a performance with a captivated audience I believe. The fields near my I live are home to some of the most wonderful avian ballets ever seen and thankfully, I am the one seeing them. Nice one my friend.

Glad to hear it Will and thank you tremendously my friend .. Neville
As a lover of birds I always personify them . I can't help it. So the starling is like something out of Dickens. The dodger perhaps. That is when seen alone but they do show two extraordinary flashes of pure beauty. Their plumage which depending on the light is often irridescent and the mumuration which os several thouseand creating a whole.
This is a perfect connection with that last and just as beautiful. Especially since they were your own.
