When my heart felt in love

all I could see

were roses and cardinals

and fresh laundered sheets ..

When my brain

was engaged, I could hear,

taste and smell

a desert, the ocean and sky ..

When my soul

was in synch with my spirit,

I just knew that I was free again ..
