So Much More Than A Madness

 

Without antecedents

we have nothing,

but can still choose what

   we want us to be ..

I know how to starve,

to deny

   and to punish myself ..

But refuse

to eat rainbows or play

   silly leaving games ..

I just need to know

how many resurrections

we are each

   allowed these days ..

Without feeling

   something missing inside ..

I really need to be

famous you see, for the

remaining fifteen

   minutes, left of today ..

I read these interesting lines three times Neville. Paid them some careful thought. Fifteen minutes of attention is very little to ask. Fifteen minutes of fame. We all deserve a little bit of attention and to feel important and of value, surely. This poem appears to be a plea if I am not mistaken.

You just made my weekend our Chris .. and I'm only part way through a very busy Friday afternoon shift as I hit send ..
