What a beautiful poem…. Or rather a sexy poem. This siren of the sea is so captivating. She has not only drawn you in, but your words have also drawn me in.
The way you describe the shell/hand as though she is pulling you towards her.
It was a beautiful read.

So is "Conchetta" a metaphor for the sea, or are we seeing a scene where a man has picked up a small conch shell, and, holding it to his ear, believed he could hear the sounds of the sea. This is a real phenomenon; I have done it myself. Of course, the event didn't cause me to pledge my servitude to anything. I just threw the damned thing back on the beach, and continued strolling and taking in the bikini clad pulchritude that was so evident that day.

Conchetta, how wonderfully shell like. This whole poem convinces me that the writer is an adoring lover of the sea and with all her moods. I thought here of the wind whipping up the sea and creating a storm and still I saw the writer kneeling at her feet:) Yep he is a slave to her.
that partly clenched fist tells me of the dangers but then on a calm day she will be kissing his toes. Sounds like a few women I have come across in life :)
I travelled well here Neville. A lovely visual work.
