Some Things are Best Left

There are some things

that should not be

seen, or heard or said

or done ..

I do not have to list

them here

now surely do I, since

you will know

precisely what I mean ..

Such are the things

that each reside inside

our own

unique and individual

minds and thrive

in gutters everywhere ..

My Nan had a bronze ornament on her shelf of the three wise monkeys. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. When I read this poem, and I have read it several times now, that’s what I see. She had wisdom. Thank you for bringing her back to me Neville this morning.
