Wild Garlic

Wild Garlic

A Poem by Neville
"

you can beat an egg & a drum .. but you just can't beat a decent forage .. & I aint talkin Nigel's neither ..

"

Wild Garlic

I love

wild garlic time

of year ..

I love the taste

and smell of it ..

I love

The sound

of the stream

that feeds

and nurtures it ..

I love

wild garlic

as a garnish,

in salads

and in stews ..

Or whisked into

a green

and creamy two

goose egg omelette ..

well Neville, hears my deal: I love garlic in food, but i hate the smell of it...pretty weird eh? And to boot, I hate it when my husband eats it and smells awful and then i have to sleep with him.... so garlic is a strange food! If it's hidden somewhere in food ,it's divine!

hi Niev, i enjoy cooking for my beloved family and others, it gives much grace and joy when they like and eat. I try to make trials of new dishes, i love spices, garlic is one, ginger, cloves, cardamom, black pepper, sajira, ghas ghas, kala shahjeera, i always try to use for my biryani, and i like the garlic bread, but never tried your recipe of garlic omlette, i will try, and especially for the one we make food who made us real taste of love with every morsel of rice and feeding with hands i love that and we feel much grateful to them feed back, with more love, which makes their heart full rather stomach which is hungry.

Thank you for sharing for such cute lines,
jessy jacob,
i love cooking and i learnt from my mom, she is the first teacher later i followed many others.
with love.

I’ve never had wild garlic but I’m fond of garlic and use it a lot in my cooking. I love this poem talking about nature and food.

yeah two of my favourite topics too .. thank you PB :)
You have just stirred my senses. Sight, taste, smell, touch and hearing in one short poem. Talk about a senses overload. You also jolted me into nostalgia. Goose eggs. They are rather large. My great aunt was fond of them and when I visited her thats what I got for breakfast. Make me an omelette will ya. Yours sound delicious. What a treat of a poem Neville.
