What Women Want

I have yet to meet a woman

who is not afraid

of what I may, or may not

write about them ..

But still, they do each want

the self-same things ..

In effect, to have and then

to own their

very own poems ..

And then, for each poem to

reference their beauty

and extol virtues that I may,

or may not

even be entirely aware of ..

It therefore,

seems to me that most of

the women

I have met to date have a

preference for

liars and above every single

thing else,

extraordinarily deviant poetry ..

I suspect I am far better at my day job than I am at poetry .. although, in my defence my job has equipped me to make certain value judgements within my various scribbles .. and for what its worth, I have met, known and loved many courageous women and quite a few devious ones .. as indeed I have also men .. it takes all sorts doesn't it and I aint talkin liquorice .. Yeah, deviant poetry. Thats what I try to write and I'm so glad one of my favourite poets agrees with my approach howsoever he does it much better.
