With all that is going on in the world right now, I couldn't wait until November, because for many, there may not be a November - Thinking of the Battle of the Somme, 1st July - 18th November 1916 🤍

Three Poppies

Here,

where they once

stood,

in hundreds

of thousands ..

Each

seemingly solid,

firmly

rooted and erect ..

Still proud

and mostly

smiling or waving ..

Today,

I found only three

and each one

of them holding

their heads

bent and bowed low ..
