Wilderness

There is an unfamiliar feeling

befallen this wilderness

  and I was so hoping for snow ..

It makes me feel hungry

and uncomfortable

  in a full up, empty kind of way ..

I could seriously do with

a touch of frostbite right now

  to feel and to feed off ..

To satisfy this hunger a moment

but doubt, having tasted it,

  it will ever go away or leave me ..

Your words give me a sense of feeling numb. The wilderness is a huge expanse of the unknown lost. Frostbite as an aid to coming back to normality is novel. The sun works much better in my humble opinion. May your cup runneth over Neville. Emptiness is the pits. Have a great weekend.

to doubt something leaves us in a wilderness kind of feeling...nothing certain about it...i think we'd rather feel, see and breathe a natural wonder than to see nothing....emptiness is not a good feeling...your words tell the whole story quite beautifully... Thank you for sharing
