Selene of All Skies

Although, she is always here,

half the time,

she is also, often out of sight ..

But she comes out

every night, just to say hello

to all her fans ..

And while there are some

who may think

she is crazy, there are those

who swear she is

their queen or a goddesses ..

But do take note,

that little white number she

wears while on

vacation, becomes more or

less removed

or discarded and therefore,

redundant

merely moments, before she

disembarks ..

And for a moment or two we

may lose her but

briefly in the glow of her own halo ..

this personification of the moon as a queen that appears on the balcony each night was very intelligent. celestial bodies govern our lives in ways we don't completely comprehend. and this goddess above is powerful as she is beautiful. this was exhilirating midnight philosophy.

A beautiful poem title and I was instantly reminded of a few divas of the past. But it could well be someone right here and present among us. As for some calling her crazy while others, a queen or goddess, it a matter of perception. And that's what makes this poem so interesting! Loved it.

It must kinda suck being Godess of the moon Nev. I reckon she just got sick of trying to get the party started because there's never any atmosphere. But every now and again, something twinkles and captures your eye...usually when I've taken my glasses off to rub my eyes, but when I put them back on....Nothing! Pfft!
