Part of A Whole That Needs Mending

There is part of a whole

that needs 

to be mended and crying

out for attention ..

Yet while I still struggle

to forgive you

for dying like that ..

I doubt, no matter how

hard I might try ..

I won’t find a patch that’s

anywhere, near big enough ..

I totally get what you mean by things Nev because some people brighten your day's every time you see them and make you feel special just for knowing them. (Katie being a great example of that and the fact I was at the hospital with her yesterday for a thyroid biopsy, which sounds beyond awful to begin with, but it didn't half dull our day....Yet on the other hand when I read this I couldn't help but her the voice of the late, great Ronnie Barker as fletch retorting "What, big girl was she?"
And apologies for taking some of the sombreness out if this piece, but on another day it would have made you smile, hopefully.
