Listen Loud Just One More Time

 

He so wanted to tell her all over again,

   just how much he loved her ..

Not only that, but he wanted to chant it

out loud, so the whole world

   

   could hear him and in universal tongues ..

Indeed, all those words he once

dare only release, in near silent whispers

and left in the perfect shells

of both her pretty ears, he so needed to shout

out just once more, but this time to

    

   argue and to resonate like unanimous war drums ..

How the tide turns, twice a day a
in fair weather or foul, not knowing for certain what you’ll get. That’s married life for you. You takes the rough with the smooth.

I heard here the sound of war drums pounding but then softly, softly those shy whispers of love sashayed in on a spring breeze and I imagine those war drums would then have been very quickly forgotten.

Relationships eh? We all have em.

This poem very poetically paints the canvas with hues of varying moods, light and dark. Just lovely. We need both for balance.

Life and relationships go from whispers to shouts so easily, leaving at least one person saying to themself "what the hell just happened?"
