Aftertastes

A Poem by Neville

Aftertastes

I remembered

just now,

how good you

then felt

inside and out ..

While you

were squeezed

up like that

between an old

broken

refrigerator

and me, in what

was once

our bijou but

more than just

adequate

east European

kitchenette ..

And then, I also

recollect

how you tasted

of both

homemade

rakia and apricots

fresh from the garden ..

This poem is sensual on steroids Neville. What fruity memories you retain in your memory bank. Now an investment which pays welcome dividends years later. Lovely.

Now I feel deprived, N. I never knew a woman who tasted of rakia and apricots.
