The Principle of Sameness

 

somewhere behind the camouflage they hide

beneath their disguises

not quite invisible, but not full on, or in your

face either, they are far

more discreet than that these days and tend

   to whisper rather than shout ..

   yet still they are heard and noticed and feared ..

and while it may not feel like

another groundhog day to you, it is the same

  old same old, to yours truly ..

Your words here Neville speak to me about conformity. Everyone must conform. There’s no place for individuality or choice. Now that’s what I find scary. Neville.. you are a master at suttle seduction.. and YOU ny dear Chris Shaw are the perfect foil.. the fact that Neville spoke truth at a time wen that seems to be a rare commodity right now.. but.. there is hope.. as in olde In days.. it was the poets.. the jesters.. the actors on all the stages that we found our truths.. and communicated with each other in ways that don't trasslate easily to digital platforms.. thank you Neville for your insights and thank you Chris Shaw for holding the target..
