The Truth About Me

The Truth About Me

A Poem by Daniel Whitaker

Week after week,
You still won't speak.
You won't even laugh or cry,
As you walk on by.
You lock in your emotions,
You fake perfection.
You won't let anyone in,
How can you expect to win?
These are the words I say,
Right before the next day.
These words I speak,
I speak when I look into the mirror.
I see the monster,
I see the freak.
What do you see in me?

This is a nice flowing piece of work. You cant be a monster, but you
can be a freak...................... a Jesus freak!! Great work, thanks for sharing and b-blessed!

I used to be the BIGGEST Jesus Freak out there. I'm guessing the teen years made it super hard.
Beautiful work dan I see a boy that is striven to survive and I completely relate I say many of those things but I always ignore my own advice don't ignore your self like I did
