Mater Dolorosa

Mater Dolorosa

A Poem by Ngawang Tibet
"

Environment issues in Tibet.

"
In a land of heavenly glory,
Hearts and souls are embraced,
Graced by the mother’s benevolence.
For millions of years,
Her intangible tenderness
Has crafted the utmost perfection.

Mountains like giants,
Rivers of galaxies,
Lakes of desires,
Grasses of stars,
Flowers of lusts"
All etched upon the face of my beloved.

A wrath of death
Took the soul of the snow lion,
Beheaded"
Molested"
Murdered"
Right in front of her children.

A man, guilty of homelessness,
Lost his vision
Buried alive"
A scattering of earth,
Has carried his spirit
To offer a new life.

A paradise of parasites
Encroaches"
Eating away every flesh of hers,
Piles of carnage
Deteriorates the youthfulness
The roof of the world.

Ah, ye mighty yet sickly!
Thy winsomeness"
Hast hold of the key of heaven,
The work of thy fingers,
Coined an exquisite land, but"
Flipped into a hell of a sanctuary!
