Another Missed Call

Another Missed Call

A Story by NicoleBateman

It’s another missed called. It’s another moment I feel weak. It was another attempt of survival.  I must admit I break easily. I shake with another pill and another drink. I bleed just to bleed. Maybe that is all wrong, maybe it isn’t really true, but how would you know? After all the phone rang and rang. Not once did I hear your sweet voice. I give up easily. I toss the paper after a few words are written. I start reading a sentence and I close the book. Maybe it’s wrong, and maybe I don’t but how would you know. It kept ringing and ringing. I never heard your voice. Are the pills and drinks poisoning my body now? Am I sitting around tossed papers and closed books? I guess you wouldn’t know.
