How Will You Know?

I wrote this poem for my newly asked fiancé. The song that was playing when we first met was How Will I Know by Whitney Houston. This poem is a twist from that song.

There's a girl I know, she's the one I see my future with.
Every morning I wake up wondering why I don't see her yet.
Fresh love is probably the reason why.
Nine months ago is the first time we even met.

How will you know if I really love you?
I'll have to prove my worth every chance.
I knew it was love for the first time during Christmas.
Passion pouring from my veins every time we dance.

A love so true is very hard to come by.
One in a million is what they say.
Take the chance and leap for faith,
Take hold of the reigns of life and ride is the only way.

How will you know if I really love you?
I say a prayer for you practically every night.
You're the one I talk to daily and don't skip a beat.
I vow to protect you with all my might.

Now if these reasons aren't enough to showcase my love,
I will feel like something is amiss.
My job done wrong needless to say,
Thus, I conceal my love with just a kiss.
